Ray Quinn to lead Christmas Sing a Long

There has been no sign of Ray Quinn in Dirty Dancing at the Aldwych Theatre for the past couple of weeks because he was knocked off his bike and sustained a fractured collarbone.  He is now due to return to the show on 17th January after he finishes panto.

It sounds like he will be fit enough to play Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk at the Derngate Theatre Northampton when it opens on 10th December as he is leading a Christmas Sing a Long for shoppers in Northampton’s town centre on Saturday 4th December at 14:00. It will be held in various locations throughout the town centre to ensure as many people as possible take part
.
The mass sing-a-long will also feature a performance by pop singer Chesney Hawkes who is starring in Aladdin at The Deco Theatre.

Opera singers and local choirs will also take part in the event to encourage everyone in the area to sing two traditional Christmas carols

The Royal and Derngate theatre have confirmed that Ray will be appearing in all performances of Jack And the Beanstalk as he is now recovered, and will also be back in Dirty Dancing on 17th January. This is really good news as he has been greatly missed.

Glad to hear that he's made a good enough recovery to do panto - let's hope the role isn't too physical! At least Jack will give him more time to get his full dancing ability back for his return to Dirty Dancing in January.
