Sing If You Can is a new ITV1 six part series where stars try to perform songs while undertaking challenges designed to distract them.
They will face tasks ranging from keeping their nerve while delivering a song from a specially-designed erupting volcano, singing on a wire suspended above the stage that randomly drops throughout their performance or sing in tune while having their chest waxed.
Celebrities will be well and truly out of their comfort zone with West End Star Ray Quinn (who is currently appearing in Dirty Dancing) making his debut as a rapper.
The final song is performed on a giant turntable that spins faster and faster with money for charity being clocked up as long as the team keep their balance.
The show will be hosted by Celebrity Juice's Keith Lemon and X Factor singer Stacey Solomon. The performances will be judged by a different celebrity panel each week with the studio audience ultimately deciding which team goes forward to try and secure money for the Teenage Cancer Trust which is the show’s nominated charity. A member of the losing team will be dropped in a giant tank of water.
The very diverse teams of celebrities competing come from all fields of entertainment with West End musical theatre stars including Ben Richards, Camilla Kerslake, Brenda Edwards, Jodie Prenger, Ray Quinn and ex G4 tenor Jonathan Ansell who is about to embark on a concert tour.
Plus Darren Gough, Craig Doyle, Jedward, Chesney Hawkes, Boyzone’s Mikey Graham, Brendan Cole, Lisa Maxwell, Toyah Willcox , Brigitte Neilsen, Roxanne Pallett, Sinitta, Ricky Groves, Rodney Marsh, Shaun Williamson, Tricia Penrose, Faye Tozer and Michelle Gayle.
The shows starts recording on 1st April with first show being broadcast on ITV1 16th April from 7:20 to 8:20 pm with Jonathan Ansell, Jodie Prenger, Brigitte Nielsen, Brendan Cole, Andrew Stone and Zoe Birkett as the first celebrity teams.
