Loserville Musical to open at the Garrick

Update 19th August: Now confirmed that Loserville starring Aaron Sidwell  is to start previews at the Garrick on 1st October.

Loserville (the musical by Elliott Davis and Busted's James Bourne) which just played at the West Yorkshire Playhouse starring Gareth Gates is rumoured to be coming to the West End in October with the Garrick Theatre being the likely playhouse after Chicago closes there on 1st September.

If the show does open in London Gates is no longer available to appear in the musical as he is now in the tour of Legally Blonde the Musical until October followed by The Sleeping Beauty at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury from 30th November to 20th January 2013.

This was universally panned by the professional press and theatre bloggers alike in its initial run.

I think it's more a question that producers are desperate to fill the increasing number of dark theatres with productions that don't cost a fortune to mount.

Lauren 1 reviewer didn't like it!!! And if the Daily Mail are now professional theatre critics something is going wrong.

I saw it in leeds and it was very good. Admit it was a thinish plot but the music and energy on stage easilly outplayed that. I for one wish it every success.

I haven't seen it but will certainly catch it at the Garrick. Hopefully they'll do some "tweaking" before it opens there.
