Updated 16th June: the new revivals creative team are due to fly out to Manilla in November to hold open auditions so looks like revival is happening.
Auditions are currently underway in Manila in the Philippines for Miss Saigon which is rumoured to be revived in London next year.
They are being run by British stage director Laurence Connor (“Miss Saigon,” “Les Miserables”) and Dong Alegre qho is Cameron Mackintosh’s representative in the Philippines.
According to notices at the auditions venue: “These auditions seek to find suitable candidates to play the role of Kim and the male and female Asian ensemble performers for future productions of ‘Miss Saigon’…There shall be no cast announcements made during the course of the audition exercise. As in past auditions, this audition exercise is ‘exploratory’ in nature.”
