 A Life in Song: Lyrics by Don Black is a celebration of the versatile lyricist at the Royal Festival Hall on October 3rd at 7:30 pm.

This show is hosted by Michael Grade and features performances of his most famous songs by  Michael Ball, Only Men Aloud, Marti Webb, Mary-Jess Leaverland and Sir Richard Stilgoe accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra. I

Don Black is currently working on the new Andrew Lloyd Webber musical  Stephen Ward which centres around the 1960s Profumo Affair and opens at the Aldwych Theatre in December. He will talk to Michael Grade about his life, inspiration for his songs, composers he has worked with complete with anecdotes about how some of the songs came about.

The show is also being filmed by the BBC for broadcast at a later date
