Sir Tim Rice, Michael Ball, Frances Ruffelle and Mark Shenton on Music Matters tomorrow

Tomorrow on BBC Radio 3 at 12:15pm there is a special edition of Music Matters classical music magazine covering musical theatre where Tom Service looks at how it has evolved and in the age of jukebox musicals asks are we supporting the next generation of 'musical makers'? (composers, lyricists and book-writers).

People he will be talking to include Sir Tim Rice : Stuart Brayson composer of From Here To Eternity:  Michael BallMarc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray, Catch Me If You Can and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory) and Gwyneth Herbert composer and lyricist for the new musical The A-Z of Mrs P which opens at Southwark Playhouse next February and is the story of the woman who invented the A-Z,  plus cast members Frances Ruffelle and Isy Suttie.

To discuss the issues facing today's musical theatre scene Tom is joined in the studio by the theatre critic Mark Shenton, musical director Gareth Valentine and Andy Barnes, Executive Producer of Perfect Pitch Musicals.
