Don Black & Marti Webb to join Michael Ball, Lee Mead, Collabro and Beverley Knight on musical theatre cruise

Updated 20th December: Lyricist Don Black and West End musical star Marti Webb will join celebrated West End and Broadway stars on board the  Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas  presenting  a new show – In Conversation with Don Black with  Marti Webb performing some of his biggest hits.


A new musical theatre themed cruise starring Michael Ball, Beverley Knight, Lee Mead, Sophie Evans, John Owen-Jones , singer and impressionist Christina Bianco and musical theatre group Collabro is to set sail in October 2018 as part of Stages aboard the Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas cruise ship.  The four-day trip leaves from Southampton on 15th October with a stop-off in Amsterdam. Ticket prices start at £499 (plus taxes)
Passengers  will start the cruise by walking a red carpet onto the ship. On board entertainment includes the Vegas-style 'Casino Royal' and a surf simulator.The event claims to be the first ever fully immersive musical theatre festival at sea featuring West End and Broadway stars. Unlike other chartered cruises, Floating Festivals will not just replace the usual cruise ship entertainment programme, it will transform the ship into a full Musical Theatre floating resort.
Activities include  a  performance of Olivier Award-winning production Showstopper! The Improvised Musical, a masquerade ball and  a musical theatre choir, as well as workshops with the stars and live Q&A events.

Jonathan Blackburn, the creator of Floating Festivals, which runs Stages said: "Not only will there be show-stopping performances, but passengers will also get the opportunity to meet and hear from the people behind some of the most celebrated musical theatre shows in the world."
