Lee Mead to Swap Technicolor Dreamcoat for Oscar Wilde tour


Lee Mead, who won the BBC1 reality TV contest "Any Dream Will Do" to play the lead role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, is to make his acting debut in Bill Kenwright's new national touring production of Oscar Wilde’s short story, Lord Arthur Savile's Crime.

He is joined by Gary Wilmot who is another musical theatre star most recently seen as Billy Flynn in the national tour of Chicago, and whose West End credits include Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Copacabana and Me and My Girl.

Performances start at the Theatre Royal Windsor from 11th-16th January next year.It then tours to the Lyceum Theatre Sheffield, Cheltenham Everyman, Richmond Theatre, King's Theatre Edinburgh, Theatre Royal Plymouth, Malvern Festival Theatre, Leeds Grand, Connaught Worthing and Bath Theatre Royal - with further dates to be announced.
