Hugh Jackman not hosting Oscars next March

The Academy Awards are already deep into preparations for the show next March, and a front man has to be named soon. According to sources close to Hugh Jackman he has been offered the job again after his success this year, but has turned it down in order to keep his mind on his current Broadway run then get back into movies for a while. He might host it again, but isn't keen on doing it two years in a row.

Shame he hasn’t got any musical theatre lined up because he was fabulous as Curly in the National Theatre’s production of Oklahoma! And one of the best pieces of musical theatre I have ever seen was when he was on Broadway playing Peter Allen in “The Boy From Oz”.

The 82nd Academy Awards will be held on March 7th and be produced by Adam Shankman, the guy who directed the Broadway version of Hairspray.
