La Cage Aux Folles to close at London Playhouse on January 2nd

The West End production of La Cage aux Folles which is currently starring  John Barrowman  has posted closing notices for 2nd  January  2010 at the PlayhouseTheatre.

John Barrowman will leave the show at the end of the month to start  his Robin Hood pantomime at  the New Theatre Cardiff , and Douglas Hodge takes over the role which he originally created at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 30th November.   Simon Burke leaves at the same time and Denis Lawson takes over the role of George.

Hodge will make the Broadway transfer with the show some time in 2010.
