Ruthie Henshall to return to Chicago this month


Ruthie Henshall is returning to the hit stage musical Chicago at the Cambridge Theatre for a nine week season between 14th December and 28th February, to play Roxie Hart which is the role she originated when the musical first opened in London 12 years ago.

She is joined by Terra C MacLeod, who will play Velma Kelly, a role she originated in the French production of Chicago. Ian Kelsey and David Ganly continue in the show playing Amos Hart and Billy Flynn.

Due to previous concert commitments as detailed below, Ruthie will not be performing between 28th December and 2nd January, when Bonnie Langford will play Roxie Hart – a role she has been performing on Broadway.

Ruthie is also performing a number of concerts over the coming months. She will be appearing in the Sound of Musicals singing showstoppers from musicals including Chicago, Kiss me Kate, Mamma Mia, My Fair Lady, High Society, Les Miserables, Crazy for You, Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, The Sound of Music and The Phantom of the Opera.

Concert dates are Manchester Bridgewater Hall - Monday 28th December: Glasgow Royal Concert Hall - Tuesday 29th December: Birmingham Symphony Hall - Wednesday 30th December and London Barbican Hall on Saturday 2nd January.

.You can also see her in From Broadway to Hollywood at the Buxton Opera House, on 30th January when she sings her favourite songs from stage and screen accompanied by the BBC Big Band. Numbers include I Only Have Eyes For You, You Made Me Love You, Don’t Mean A Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing, The Man I Love, Don’t Rain On My Parade, Our Love Is Here To Stay and The Folks Who Live On The Hill.
