The Menier Chocolate Factory is presenting Hannah Waddingham in cabaret with six performances from 16th-20th March at 20:00 every night plus a late show on Saturday 20th March at 23:00.
Miss Waddingham has been nominated for an Olivier Award for her performance as Desiree Armfeldt in Stephen Sondheim’s musical A Little Night Music which was directed by Trevor Nunn and opened at the Menier before transferring to the Garrick Theatre last year. It is now playing on Broadway starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury.
Her other impressive theatre credits include The Lady of the Lake in Monty Python’s Spamalot, Suzanne Valadon in Charles Aznavour’s Lautrec, Christine Warner in The Beautiful Game, Satan in Tonight’s the Night, Fay Hubbard in A Chorus of Disapproval, Nikki Wade in Bad Girls the Musical, Rizzo in Grease, The Shimmy Girl in Smokey Joe’s CafĂ© and Rose in The Likes of Us (Sydmonton Festival).
Hannah Waddingham will be accompanied by a six piece band and her repertoire will include swing, pop and jazz with musical direction by Chris Walker. The show will be recorded live for an album to be released later this year
