Arlene Phillips to Choreograph Flashdance

Arlene Phillips wants strong girls with high energy and strong thighs for Flashdance The Musical which she is choreographing to open in London’s West End this autumn.  The new dance routines will require some very powerful dancers so no fragile or size zero dancers should apply!  And anyone who has worked with Arlene will be aware that she is a perfectionist who knows just what she wants ….

Arlene worked on a touring production of Flashdance last year, but she is changing the dance routines completely for the West End. The touring production was put together in a hurry with four weeks from rehearsal to opening, but this time the creative team have the time to get it as they want it with the show opening at the Shaftesbury Theatre on 27th September and booking until 26th February 2011.
