First casting news for Chichester's 42nd Street

The first bit of casting news I have on 42nd Street is that Kathryn Evans is to play Dorothy Brock at the Chichester Festival Theatre production which runs there from 21 June - 28 August.

Miss Evans Actress has been a regular on the musical stage since taking over as Eva Peron in Hal Prince's original production of Evita. Other West End credits includeRadio Times, Anything Goes, Aspects of Love, Mack and Mabel, The Fix, Follies and  Norma Desmond in Craig Revel Horwood's revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard.

Dorothy Brock is of course the diva and one time star who is more than a little upset at being asked to audition for a role in a new show Pretty Lady.  She eventually lands the part but trips and breaks her ankle on the opening night freeing up the part to be played by the heroine of the piece, novice Peggy Sawyer who has arrived in New York from Pennsylvania.
