Marcus Brigstocke Cast as Spamalot’s Arthur

Comedian Marcus Brigstocke is due to make his musical theatre debut playing King Arthur in the UK tour of Spamalot which kicks off at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 29 May and currently ends at the Birmingham Alexandra on 1st January 2011.

Brigstocke will appear as Arthur until 14th August with his final show at the Liverpool Empire.   As previously blogged Jodie Prenger will play the Lady of the Lake in Wimbledon, Bromley, Brighton and Manchester. Further casting and tour dates are still to be announced.

Marcus Brigstocke is one of the top names on the comedy and touring circuit. He appeared in his latest stand-up show God Collar at the Vaudeville Theatre last month. He is also a regular BBC Radio 4 programmes in the The Now Show and Just a Minute. His television  credits include Argumental, The Late Edition, I’ve Never Seen Star Wars, QI, The 11 O’Clock Show and Have I Got News for You.
