Wicked! said goodbye to Alexia Khadime and Dianne Pilkington on Saturday night, with a record-breaking final performance at the box office at the Apollo Victoria Theatre.
They are replaced by Rachel Tucker and Louise Dearman as Elphaba and Glinda amongst a new company that also includes Lewis Bradley as Fiyero (before Lee Mead joins on May 10th), Julie Legrand as Madame Morrible, Clive Carter as The Wizard, Cassandra Compton as Nessarose, Julian Forsyth as Doctor Dillamond and George Ure as Boq.
Rachel Tucker has previously played Meat in We Will Rock You at the West End's Dominion Theatre, in which she also understudied the role of Scaramouche, which she played on many occasions.
Louise Dearman recently played the title role in Cinderella opposite Mickey Rooney at Milton Keynes Theatre. She has played Eva Peron in the recent UK national tour of Evita and in the West End has appeared in Guys and Dolls at the Piccadilly Theatre.
Lee Mead is currently touring in Oscar Wilde's Lord Arthur Savile's Crime until 24th April. He was last seen in the West End playing the title role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
