Hollyoaks Actor Heading for Flashdance

Gerard McCarthy who plays cross-dresser Kris Fisher in Hollyoaks will take up a role in Flashdance - The Musical later this year when it opens at the Shaftesbury Theatre on 27th September.

McCarthy made his professional debut in Perth Repertory Theatre's production of Carousel before joining the cast of the West End musical Mamma Mia!  and then transferring into the West End production of Saturday Night Fever, directed by Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Philips who is also the choreographer for Flashdance.
