Has The Wizard of Oz cast a spell on Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice?

It seems as though Andrew Lloyd Webber’s much publicised production of The Wizard of Oz which opens at the London Palladium next year may well see a renewed collaboration with his old sparring partner composer and lyricist Tim Rice.

The famous pair had huge musical theatre hits in the 60s and 70s with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita, and in a recent BBC Radio2 interview Tim Rice said that they are likely to work together again on The Wizard of Oz  as Lloyd Webber is writing four new songs.
