Singin’ in the Rain in Concert

The Royal Festival Hall premiere the original film score of the MGM musical Singin' in the Rain in concert. John Wilson (BBC Proms) has reconstructed the score and joined forces with Kim Criswell to bring it to life on the Royal Festival Hall concert platform at 15:00 on Sunday 7th November 2010.

Kim Criswell narrates and plays the part of Lina Lamont in a story that has been described as Hollywood’s own autobiography at the end of the silent movie era. The romantic silent-film star and swashbuckling matinee idol Don Lockwood is played by Julian Ovenden and his ingénue girlfriend Kathy Selden by Annalene Beechey.
