Winning Dorothy to appear on Royal Variety Show

Andrew Lloyd Webber has just announced that the winning Dorothy on his BBC casting programme Over the Rainbow will not only appear in the starring role of his Wizard of Oz  at the London Palladium next year, but will also perform at this year’s Royal Variety Show in December.

 I wonder if Simon Cowell knows he’s got competition - as his current series of Britain’s Got Talent is also searching for an act to appear in front the Royal Family.
