The versatile actor and singer John Barrowman is adding yet another string to his bow by entering the literary world.
The West End musical theatre leading man, “Torchwood” and “Doctor Who” star is writing a book for children aged between 9-12 years old with paperback publication due in August 2011. The novel will be science-fiction/fantasy following the adventures of a teenage twin brother and sister.
Barrowman will write the novel with his sister Carole, who helped him with his autobiographies Anything Goes and I Am What I Am.
BBC Books has also confirmed that Barrowman will also be writing a Torchwood tie-in novel, although it is as yet untitled and unscheduled.
