Over the Rainbow’s Lauren playing Sandy in Grease

Lauren Samuels was in the last three for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Over the Rainbow quest to find a girl to play Dorothy in his new production of The Wizard of Oz which opens in the West End next year. 

She may not be heading up the Yellow Brick Road but instead she is enrolling at Rydell High in the musical Grease to take over the role of Sandy from Siobhan Dillon. 

Lauren joins the cast of Grease at the Piccadilly Theatre on 26th July and is scheduled to play Sandy to 22nd January next year starring alongside former Hear'say pop star Noel Sullivan who continues in the role of Danny.
