Priscilla Queen of the Desert Going on Holiday

The entire company of Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical are taking two week’s holiday from 6th-19th September meaning the Palace Theatre will be dark.

The current Priscilla cast is led by Ben Richards (as Tick/Mitzi), Don Gallagher (Bernadette) and Oliver Thornton  as Adam. This closure is thought to be a West End first as cast members in other shows alternate their holidays with understudies going on for principals when they are away.

The producers are using this time for essential maintenance work on the show’s elaborate set and life-sized bus. When performances start again on 20th September Priscilla will revert to her original schedule of Monday to Saturday evenings at 19:30 with matinees at 14:30 on Thursdays and Saturdays.  She will no longer offer Sunday matinees in lieu of Monday evenings.
