Radio 2 documentary on London Palladium

BBC Radio 2 is celebrating the history of the London Palladium in a two-part documentary entitled The London Palladium Story which will be hosted by former ITV executive chairman Michael Grade

The documentary will cover the theatre’s history and look at performers who have appeared there - including the legendary Ella Fitzgerald.  It will also cover the Sunday Night at the London Palladium Show with its famous revolve at the end of the programme.  This same revolve is being restored for use during Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Wizard of Oz” which opens there next March.
