Ian Dury “Hit Me” Musical

Hit Me is a musical about the career and life of Ian Dury, lead singer of the Blockheads. The show features many of his best songs performed live including Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick and Reasons To Be Cheerful.  This show had a sell out 2009 premiere and is in London ahead of a major UK tour.

Ian Dury was a musical genius but in private he was tortured by his disability. Hit Me sees him reunited with his tour manager and friend Fred ‘Spider’ Rowe acting out powerful scenes exploring Dury’s triumph over adversity.

Mark White plays Ian Dury and Josh Darcy is Fred "Spider"Rowe

The musical is playing at the Garrick Theatre in the West End after David Essex's musical All The Fun of the Fair closes.  It is on or three nights only from 9th-11th September at 20:00. Running time 100 minutes (including interval).
