Smokey Joe’s Café extends booking by a month

Smokey Joe's Cafe opened at the Landor Theatre on 20th July and had been booking until 12th August, but it has now extended its run by a month and will finish on 12th September.

Kym Mazelle had to leave the cast this week due to prior work commitments, but Melanie La Barrie (pictured) has taken over.  She has a number of musical theatre credits including Les Miserables, Daddy Cool and Mary Poppins in London’s West End.

Over the Rainbow finalist Steph Fearon will stay on until the end of the run.

Smokey Joe's Cafe features pop classics by songwriters Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, including “On Broadway”, “Jailhouse Rock”, “Stand By Me” and “I’m a Woman”.

This is its first major London revival since is played at the Prince of Wales Theatre in 1996.
