To celebrate five years of Billy Elliot the Musical in the West End, earlier this year the producers offered schools and youth groups the opportunity to stage their own production of the award-winning show as part of a new initiative called Billy Youth Theatre.
And the result is a special one off performance of the musical Billy Elliot at the Victoria Palace Theatre this Sunday 18th July which will be introduced by Lee Hall and Stephen Daldry
The cast comprises members from the 115 Billy Youth Theatre groups from all over the country who put on specially versions of the show by writer Lee Hall.
The show on Sunday has a company of 450 young people from all over the UK aged between 8 and 19. The different Billy Youth Theatre groups will perform different scenes from the show.
