David Essex marries Susan Hallam-Wright

David Essex has just finished performing in his musical All the Fun of the Fair at the Garrick theatre in London’s West End.  It was during a tour of this show two years ago that he met Susan Hallam-Wright who he became engaged to at Christmas and has now married.

They tied the knot at St Cross Church in Talybont, outside Bangor on Monday with an intimate service held in front of less than 30 close family members and friends. They picked the 19th century Church in Wales as the bride's grandfather used to be an archdeacon in the area.

Guests then joined the couple to celebrate at a small evening reception at the luxury Tresygawen Hall Hotel at Capel Coch on Anglesey.

David Essex's next appearance on stage is over Christmas in Peter Pan at Darlington Civic Centre.
