The BBC's So You Think You Can Dance was a great success earlier this year when 19-year-old Charlie Bruce won the title of Britain's favourite dancer, £100,000 and the chance to dance in Hollywood. She is now appearing in the West End production of Dirty Dancing at the Aldwych Theatre.
I loved Series 1 of this show as it had some world class choreographers setting the routines and showcased some exciting new dancers.
Series 2 is in now production with host Cat Deeley and judges Nigel Lythgoe and Arlene Phillips holding auditions for Britain's favourite dancer in Manchester, Glasgow and London as follows:
• October 17 - Manchester, Freemasons' Hall, 36 Bridge Street, M3 3BT
• October 19 - Glasgow, City Halls, Candleriggs, G1 1NQ
• October 21, 22 - London, Interchange Studios/Hempstead Town Hall Centre, 213 Haverstock Hill, NW3 4QP (Tube: Belsize Park)
Anyone is welcome to attend as long as you are legally entitled to work in the UK and will be aged 18 or over on Saturday 16th April 2011.
For more information on the actual audition and what you need to bring visit the So You Think You Can Dance website.
