The Scottish comedy actor Gerard Kelly sadly died from a brain aneurysm last week after being found unconscious on the floor of his London home by a friend. He was only aged 51.
He had been due to appear as the Narrator in the tour of the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Theatre Royal Glasgow from 8th-13th November, but Andy Gray a long time friend of his and co-star in TV sit-com City Lights is now taking over the role.
Kelly was also preparing to begin rehearsals for Snow White at the King’s Theatre in Glasgow. Staff at the theatre yesterday insisted that the panto will go ahead as a fitting tribute to the comedy star.
