The Canadian-American singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright will perform for five evenings next July at the Royal Opera House. The show is called "House of Rufus: Five Nights of Velvet, Glamour and Guilt" and will include two performances (18th & 22nd July) of his show Rufus Does Judy! which he has performed at Carnegie Hall and is re-imagining of Judy Garland's 1961 comeback concert at Carnegie Hall which has been described as the "greatest night in show-business history".
He will perform with his father Loudon Wainwright III and his sister Martha. The final concert will be a version of the opera Prima Donna starring soprano Janis Kelly, after which Wainwright will perform solo.
Rufus is at the Royal Opera House from Monday18th-Saturday 23rd July with booking opening today at www.roh.org.uk
