John Barrowman opened the show with his partner the glamorous Christina Rihanoff and danced incredibly well given the small amount of rehearsal the celebrities has been given. Barrowman would describe himself as a "mover" rahter than a "dancer" but his quickstep literally swept the floor beating competitors Ronni Ancona, Fern Britton, Vince Cable and June Brown hands down.
He promised drama and lots of sequins, and apparently the grey trousers and waistcoat he was wearing had the most sparkle ever worn by a male competitor!
