Life after Wicked! for Lee Mead

After Lee leaves the musical Wicked! this Saturday he heads to the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton on Sunday to perform Lee Mead in Concert.  This is part of his concert tour which is currently carrying on until 12th March when it is scheduled to end at the Cardiff Millennium Centre. He is hoping to schedule more gigs for October/November and has a  tour of Japan planned for December.

Lee is rumoured to be doing a workshop for a new musical some time in March, and also been hinting at possible TV work in recent interviews.

Like the idea of some T.V.Work. They are doing two more series of "Downton Abbey" Lee would be perfect for this

I saw Lee in Lord Arthur Savile's Crime and he certainly has the right look and feel for period pieces. And I love Downton Abbey (along with a huge TV audience for the first series) which will give him some great exposure for straight acting.
