Great British Musical Gala starring Alfie Boe, Michael Xavier, Hadley Fraser, Paul Keating and Emma Williams

The Great British Musical is a fund raising event to celebrate the contribution UK composers have made to the genre.  The event will compèred by Stephen Fry at the Criterion Theatre on Sunday 10th April at 19:00.

The impressive line up of musical theatre stars includes Peter Polycarpou, Michael Xavier and Emma Williams from Love Story, Hadley Fraser (shortly to play Javert in LesMis) , Paul Keating (The Wizard of Oz), Julie Atherton and Stuart Matthew Price. Plus ALFIE BOE has just been added to the list of performers.

The concert will include numbers from shows by British writers including Elton John's The Lion King, Howard Goodall’s Love Story, Willy Russell's Blood Brothers, Dorothy Reynolds and Julian Slade's Salad Days and Stiles and Drewe's Betty Blue Eyes

Other performers appearing in The Great British Musical include Steven Webb, Sophia Ragavelas, Jack Shalloo, Dougal Irvine, Jodie Jacobs and John Addison.

The cast will be supported by a live nine piece band and an ensemble of seven students from the Musical Theatre Academy (MTA).
