Series 2 of the hit dance show So You Think You Can Dance is back on BBC1 on 26th March, with live shows beginning on 16th April.
Cat Deeley returns to host the show which goes in search of the nation’s hottest dance talent, with a panel comprising Nigel Lythgoe as head judge along with West End choreographer Arlene Phillips, dancer/choreographer Sisco Gomez and Louise Redknapp. The winner receives prize money of £50,000 as well as an invitation to dance in Hollywood on the US version of the show. Last year’s winner Charlie Bruce is currently appearing in Dirty Dancing which stars Ray Quinn in London’s West End.
The final 20 (10 guys and 10 girls) who make it through the auditions and choreography camp get to dance live on BBC1 every Saturday night. Each week they perform a new routine by world-renowned choreographers, with ballet dancers doing hip-hop routines and tap dancers tackling contemporary dance.
