Elena Roger performing at Pam Gems' memorial this Sunday

Argentinean actress Elena Roger tarred as Eva PerĂ³n in the West End revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita at the Adelphi Theatre for which she was nominated for best actress in a musical at the Olivier Awards. She was last seen in London’s West End appearing in Passion at the Donmar Warehouse, and is due to appear on Broadway in Evita with Ricky Martin.

You can hear her sing numbers from Piaf at the memorial service for playwright Pam Gems (who wrote Piaf) which is being held at Saint James Church Piccadilly this Sunday afternoon, 3rd July from 3:30pm to 5pm.

There is also a rumour that Elaine Paige might be there (she also appeared in Piaf) and Sir Ian McKellen, Trudie Styler, Anna Chancellor, Sean Mathias, Nancy Meckler and Sue Parrish will also speak and perform.

The actresses Frances Barber and Isla Blair will give readings and Annie Lennox and Timothy Spall are just some of the famous names who will be in attendance.
