Award winning West End star Sheridan Smith's career has gone from strength to strength working on stage, television and film projects since she left Legally Blonde the musical. She is due back in London to play Bridget Jones in the musical of the same name which is now likely to open at the Savoy next year rather than this.
Sheridan has been tweeting about her change of image with her normally short blond bob now restyled and dyed red for her next job playing Charmian Biggs (wife of Great Train robber Ronnie) played by Daniel Mays in the ITV drama Mrs Biggs.
Filming will take place on locations in Australia and the UK. The five-part series will examine how Charmian and their sons moved to Australia with Biggs after the robbery, where they remained when Biggs headed off to Brazil. Charmian has worked with the drama’s producers and approved Sheridan to portray her.
