UPDATE 30th August: Blood Brothers is playing for a further two weeks at the Phoenix and will now be closing on 10th November.
It has now been confirmed by Bill Kenwright that Willy Russell's Blood Brothers saying it is to close at the Phoenix Theatre on October 27th (it was booking until 24th November). It opened in the West End in 1988 and is coming up to its 25th anniversary. There are no current plans to transfer it to another theatre .
With Dreamboats & Petticoats closing at the Playhouse last night it would seem that BKL is having a bit of rethink on his West End shows. Both Blood Brothers (starring Marti Pellow as the Narrator) and Dreamboats continue to tour successfully.
