Son of Mary Rodgers and Henry Guettel and grandson of Richard Rodgers, musical theatre and opera composer Adam Guettel presents The Light in the Piazza concert at London’s Hippodrome supported by Caroline Sheen and Jonathan Ansell. The concert will run from 10th-15th September with tickets from www.hippodromecasino.com
Adam Guettel has won the Tony Awards for Best Score and Best Orchestrations, and two Drama Desk Awards for Best Music and Best Orchestrations.
The Light in the Piazza Concert showcases work from all of his existing shows plus premieres of new songs from latest projects ranging from a fairy tale adventure to The Invisible Man, an exploration of goodness called Millions and an opera written for the devil.
Guettel said: "I'm going to sing from these new shows and let Caroline and Jonathan sing from the old ones, since that material's too high for me now. I'm thrilled to be premiering songs in the UK in the new Hippodrome with such a great group of musicians. I'll see you in September, I'm so looking forward to it."
