In Here is an evening of songs being performed at the Pheasantry on the King’s Road Chelsea on 22nd and 23rd October at 8:30 pm.
Rebecca Caine (Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera), Cassidy Janson (Avenue Q, Lend Me A Tenor, Wicked), Martin Neely (Les Miserables, Mary Poppins) and Craig Rhys Barlow (Children of Eden, Tommy) accompanied by pianist Mark Etherington and double bassist Nick Pugh, star in this entertaining evening of songs by New York based composer and lyricist Charles Bloom (pictured).
Ranging from comic parodies to jazzy swing numbers and soulful ballads, Bloom’s songs are characterised by memorable melodies and witty lyrics. They have been performed by luminaries including Patti LuPone, Mandy Patinkin and Michael Feinstein. His work has drawn praise from Stephen Sondheim, Jerry Herman and Stephen Schwartz.
