Celebration of Marvin Hamlisch with Tim Rice and Louise Dearman

Radio2 DJ Ken Bruce is presenting a special tribute to the late and great Marvin Hamlisch with special guest Tim Rice and West End stars including Louise Dearman who is currently playing the green witch Elphaba in Wicked!

Marvin Hamlisch won three Oscars, four Grammy’s, four Emmys, a Tony and three Golden Globe awards. For Broadway he wrote the music for A Chorus Line, They're Playing Our Song, The Goodbye Girl and Sweet Smell of Success.

He was the composer of more than forty motion picture scores including The Way We Were and The Sting. Films include original compositions and/or musical adaptations for Sophie's Choice, Ordinary People, The Swimmer, Three Men and a Baby and The Spy Who Loved Me for which he wrote the classic Bond song Nobody Does It Better.

One Singular Sensation - A Celebration of Marvin Hamlisch is taking place at the Mermaid Theatre on 24th November at 7:15 pm with a random draw for tickets which you can register for until Sunday 4th November at 10:00 pm.
