The first bit of casting for the new Tim Rice musical From Here to Eternity was revealed this weekend at West End Live in Trafalgar Square when Robert Lonsdale stepped on to the stage to perform a song from the show titled "Fight The Fight". (Previewed by Michael Ball on his new Both Sides Now album).
Lonsdale is the bugle playing Private Robert E Lee Prewitt (performed by Montgomery Clift in the 1953 Oscar winning film). He was introduced by Tim Rice who described him as "a young man with
enormous talent". He has recently appeared in Brilliant
Adventures at the Royal Court, A Life at the Finborough and Anna
Christie (with Jude Law and Ruth Wilson) at the Donmar.
