(One Day, Starter For Ten) it is about 45 year old Carl
Matthews (Morrissey) and his battle to board the 7:39 train from Waterloo where he encounters the same miserable crowd of commuters every morning.
Happily married to his college best friend Maggie (Colman) and with
two sulky teenagers his life has become very predictable until he meets fellow passenger Sally Thom (Smith) after they battle over a seat. She has recently moved out of
London to manage a health club and is unsure of her plans to marry personal
trainer Ryan (Maguire) and feels unsettled in a her new suburban life.
The pair begin talking and suddenly their monotonous
commute becomes a lot more interesting...
