Shayne Ward joins cast of Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of The Worlds Tour

At a press launch today for Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of The Worlds sixth and final tour which starts in November it was announced  that X Factor second series winner Shayne Ward (Rock of Ages) will lead the cast as the Artilleryman.


Liam Neeson appears in 3D holography as the story's narrator journalist George Herbert.  He leads an all star cast including Shayne Ward/the Artilleryman, Brian McFadden (ex Westlife) performing The Sung Thoughts of The Journalist, Jason Donovan is reprising his role as Parson Nathaniel and Carrie Hope Fletcher (Eponine from Les Miserables)  is playing Beth, Parson Nathaniel's Wife and the X Factor's Joseph Whelan is the Voice of Humanity.
