There is Friday Night Is Music Night concert being recorded at the Hackney Empire on 13th October celebrating the 100th anniversary of musician and arranger Nelson Riddle. Clare Teal, Graham Bickley and Curtis Stigers will
present his story and sing an extraordinary selection of songs arranged
by Riddle for legendary performers including Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Nat 'King' Cole and
Judy Garland. Among the
songs are The Folks Who Live on the Hill; Let's Face the Music And Dance;
Night and Day, The Lady Is A Tramp; I've Got the World On A String and
Mona Lisa
They will be acompanied by the The BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Richard Balcombe who are
joined by the BBC Big Band.
The concert will be broadcast on Radio 2 Friday Night is Music Night at a later date.
