Anneka Rice and Michael Praed are hosting a special 'Friday Night Is Music Night' for Christmas - 'Oh What A Beautiful Evening' from the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane at 19:30 on Sunday 13th December.
The concert will feature the music of Richard Rodgers and
Oscar Hammerstein performed by a stellar cast including John Owen
Jones, Emma Williams, Rosalie Craig, Hadley Fraser, Clare Teal and Ron Raines, accompanied by the
seventy piece BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted Larry Blank with Capital
Voices and a fifty voice chorus from the Arts Educational school. They will celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of 'The Sound of Music' and present
songs from Rodgers and Hammerstein's greatest musicals, 'The Sound of
Music', 'Carousel', 'The King and I', 'Oklahoma' and 'South Pacific'.
This
evening includes a special contribution from Dame Julie
Andrews and features the songs ' I Have Confidence', 'Oh, What A
Beautiful Morning', 'The Surrey With the Fringe on Top', 'My Favourite
Things', 'I Have Dreamed', 'There Is Nothing Like A Dame', 'Oklahoma',
