Manhattan Concert Productions has announced complete casting for its 25th anniversary performances of The Secret Garden on February 21st and 22nd at David Geffen Hall.
As previously announced, the Tony-nominated former Fun Home star Sydney Lucas will star as Mary Lennox, alongside Ramin Karimloo (Archibald Craven), Sierra Boggess (Lily), Cheyenne Jackson (Dr. Neville Craven), Ben Platt (Dickon), Jere Shea (Ben), Barbara Rosenblat (Mrs. Medlock), and original Tony-winning Secret Garden star Daisy Eagan (Martha).
Lucas' former young Fun Home costar Oscar Williams joins her in the role of Colin Craven. The cast will also feature Nikki Renée Daniels (Rose Lennox), Quentin Earl Darrington (Major Holmes), Julie Halston (Mrs. Winthrop), Jamie Jackson (Lieutenant Shaw), Allegiance star Telly Leung (Fakir), Anisha Nagarajan (Ayah), John Riddlle (Lieutenant Wright), Haley Swindal (Alice), Josh Tower (Major Shelley), and Tony nominee Josh Young (Captain Albert Lennox).
The Secret Garden, which opened at the St. James Theatre in April 1991 and played 709 performances before closing in January 1993, is based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The score is written by Lucy Simon, with a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Marsha Norman. The original Broadway cast featured Mandy Patinkin, Alison Fraser, Rebecca Luker, Robert Westenberg, John Cameron Mitchell, and Daisy Eagan, who won a Tony Award for her performance as Mary Lennox.
