Billy Elliot The Musical final West End show on April 9th will be raising money in aid of East Durham Trust.
All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the organisation
dedicated to counteracting the effects of social and economic
deprivation in the area the musical is set.
Since it opened at in London in 2005, Billy Elliot The Musical has
been seen by more than 5.4 million people in the capital and nearly 11
million around the world. It is currently out on tour at Plymouth.
Speaking about the move, Malcom Fallow, CEO of East Durham Trust,
said: “I want to thank everyone involved in Billy Elliot The Musical for
their incredible support. This is a fantastic gesture and it will
genuinely be appreciated by the people of East Durham and make a
significant difference to our ongoing work in the community.”
