Chris Peluso (most recently seen in the West End as Chris in Miss Saigon) will play Gaylord Ravenal in the Sheffield Crucible's production of the
musical Showboat which is currently in rehearsal to open at the new London Theatre in April. He will join original cast members
Gina Beck, Emmanuel Kojo and
Rebecca Trehearn, Malcolm Sinclair, Lucy Briers, Sandra Marvin, Alex Young and
Danny Collins.
Peluso appeared in the original Broadway production of BEAUTIFUL - THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL, as well as two U.S. tours of WICKED and LESTAT and ASSASSINS on Broadway. Michael Xavier, who played the part in Daniel Evans' original production, is not available to reprise role as he will be starring opposite Glenn Close in
SUNSET BOULEVARD at the London Coliseum.
