It finally seems that, Lin-Manuel Miranda's mega hit musical Hamilton will open in West End next year. According to Baz Bamigboye, the Tony nominated musical will open at London's Victoria Palace Theatre in October 2017 with tickets on sale this October.The production is expected to launch its website on 13th June giving priority ticket information .
Bamigboye also reports that Cameron Mackintosh's Delfont Mackintosh Theatres is expected to spend approximately £30 million to refurbish the theatre in preparation .
Hamilton has book, music and lyrics by Tony and Grammy Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, who also plays the title role. The musical is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. Hamilton is inspired by Ron Chernow's biography "Alexander Hamilton."
It is about the young immigrant Alexander Hamilton, the Founding Father who forever changed America with his revolutionary ideas and actions. During his short life, he served as George Washington's chief aide, was the first Treasury Secretary, but despised by his fellow Founding Fathers and shot to death by Aaron Burr in a legendary duel.
